Hello Natalia and Joselyn!

I hope this email finds you well. As always thank you for your continued efforts in supporting us with outreach and recruitment. Sending you a friendly reminder that the Basta Fellowship application is still accepting applicants for this Winter until November 11th, 11:59 PM. So far we have received applications from 5 Brooklyn College Students! If you have other potential participants who are still interested, there is still time folks to apply! Please feel free to utilize our student marketing language to encourage participants you serve and connect with to apply.

Also, we are excited to continue our partnerships with GOOGLE and BLOOMBERG to provide the following mentorship opportunities to Basta fellows this Winter:

·     G-SWEP (Basta x Google Software Engineer Program) A program specifically designed for first-gen students of color pursuing technology and computer science-related careers. Fall Basta participants were paired with a Google engineer who provided 10 weeks of 1:1 coaching coaching and technical interview preparation.

·     The Bloomberg/Basta Mentorship Program A program where Bloomberg employees provide 1:1 mentorship to Basta fellows from different majors. Over 200 Bloomberg employees have served as mentors over seven mentorship cycles to Basta fellows resulting in Bloomberg hiring fellows. 

Please keep in mind that we are accepting applications from students graduating with their bachelors between Fall 2022 and Spring 2024 from different majors. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you for your time and support!
