There is not a minimum. You may want to call the trainer, Wayne Lain, at 713.530.9182 and discuss it with him to gain a better comfort level. If anyone has any technical questions similar to this, by all means, call Wayne and discuss it with him. He can walk you through the program and you can make an informed decision.
My Boykin was first trained by Wayne at 3.5 months. He handled it fine. That is merely one anecdote.

Is there a suggested minimum age for the dog that is appropriate? I have a 6-month old pup but worry the correction might be too much, as we intend to train for field as well as collar condition when she is older.

I signed up, but it would not let me pay as a club member. Charged me $100. Hope we get a good snake.
Did this last year because we train in New Mexico for the summer. Lots of big rattlesnakes.

Dan (treasurer) and I have spoken. We are aware of this issue and he is working through it. Worst case scenario is that Members who have overpaid on entry fees will be refunded the $30 discount the day of the event. An alternative to entry through EventBrite.com is entering through Entry Express. Those of you who participate in AKC Hunt Tests and Field Trials may find this form of entry more to your liking.
