Dear BCSRC Member:  

We are now only 10 days away from our 2025 Snake Avoidance Training at Shady W Ranch.  I have attached the Flyer and the QR code for NON MEMBERS to sign up and pay.  Members, please contact me to enroll your dog in this potentially life saving event.  This is a major perk of membership where you will receive the training at cost, $70, whereas, non-members will be paying $100.  This more than covers an individual annual membership in the club.  Please sign your dogs up today so that I can start scheduling the times so that the individual wait times are minimized. 

 If we finish entered dogs, we will consider the training complete and depart the grounds before Noon, so it is very important to enter prior to the day of the training   This is not to say we will turn dogs away, but it is to say, we will only go as long as there are dogs waiting.  

 Also, please feel free to share the attached flyer and QR code widely with all dog owners.  This is not restricted to retriever breeds, or hunting dogs.  Because all dogs are at risk, we encourage participation regardless of breed or use.  As Wayne Lain said, “This training is for dogs in areas where snakes may be present.  If you live in Texas, snakes may be present.”  I cannot count how many photos I see every day of snakes from urban and suburban areas on Snake ID and Snake Bite Facebook pages.   It is the majority.  So, please take this opportunity to encourage your dog parent friends to have their dogs trained. 

If you want to help with the training, please let me know.  We would be very happy to have you join us.
