Hey Everyone,

Back in March, I held my first-ever Flatpicking Camp in Hadley, MA —  and by all accounts, it was a great success! We had 20 instructors and over 60 attendees, with great music and learning all weekend long. But there’s always room to make things even better, so for 2026 I’m introducing two brand-new camps:

Tony Watt’s Flatpicking Camp
January 9–11, 2026
For Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Flatpickers

Tony Watt’s Flatpicking Forum
March 27–29, 2026
For Advanced, Semi-Pro, and Professional Flatpickers

Both the Camp and the Forum will be held at the same recently renovated hotel in Hadley, Mass. (between Amherst and Northampton). Instructors are still being finalized, but will again include some of the best from both near and far. And now that the camp is split into two, students can enjoy instruction more finely tuned to their experience level – and even more opportunities to jam, learn, and connect!

Registration is now open!
To sign up, simply fill out this short form:
Registration Form

Only for Forum Attendees: Because the Flatpicking Forum will offer instruction at a higher level than even the Advanced classes in January, interested attendees must submit a short (1–3 minute) video of their playing. You’ll find a place to include your video link on the registration form.

Key Details for Both Camps:

  • Official activities begin at 6:30 pm Friday (Jan. 9 / Mar. 27), with informal jams starting at 3 pm (check-in time).

  • Camps conclude at 3 pm Sunday (Jan. 11 / Mar. 29).

  • Tuition includes hotel lodging for both Friday and Saturday nights.

  • More details: tonywattbluegrass.com/camps

Tuition (per person):
Private Room (one camper per room, private bath)
• $600 for either camp
• $975 for both camps

Shared Room (two campers per room, shared bath)
• $550 for either camp
• $900 for both camps

Commuter (no hotel room)
• $500 for either camp
• $850 for both camps

Thanks so much, and I hope to see many of you in Hadley this January and/or March!

Tony

Hey Everyone,

I'm really excited to announce the teachers for my upcoming Flatpicking Camp! This camp is for beginner, intermediate, and advanced flatpickers, and will be held January 9-11 in Hadley, MA. As a reminder, my Flatpicking Camp is separate from the Flatpicking Forum, which is geared toward advanced, semi-pro, and professional players and will be held the last weekend in March at the same location (details about both are copied below).

New teachers confirmed for January:

Host of Lessons with Marcel, arguably the most successful YouTube channel devoted to flatpicking instruction

Guitarist for The Sam Bush Band, he'll be teaching guitar as well as both lead and harmony singing

One of the most tasteful and talented flatpickers to ever live in New England, and also one of my earliest and biggest influences

Best known for his mandolin work with Mile Twelve and other bands, he actually started out in Connecticut as a flatpicker before graduating from Berklee

Returning faculty from my inaugural camp:

I’m thrilled to have such a strong lineup of returning teachers and to welcome these fantastic new additions. We're still hoping to add a few more teachers, but for now, mark your calendars and get ready for an inspiring three days of music and community!
