Hope everyone had a great time at the 40^th Joe Val Bluegrass Festival this past weekend.  Personally, I thought it was an epic weekend but over way too soon. Not a bad effort after five years on the back foot.  A big shout out to BBU Board, Staff, Volunteers, Bands, and the hotel staff that made the event possible.  

Adam Engelhardt, Executive Director of the International Bluegrass Music Museum, was on hand for the entire weekend. It was great to get his perspective on the event.  As many of you might, or not, know, the IBMM acquired the publishing rights to Bluegrass Unlimited back in 2020.  It continues as the sole national print publication devoted to bluegrass music.

This was my first Bluegrass Unlimited (not this particular copy) that I bought at Uncle Banjo in Newburyport MA… yikes!   I had let my subscription lapse a while ago, but now took advantage of Gerry’s offer.
