This Wednesday June 3rd please join Wide Open Spaces band - Bluegrass without Borders at Nick-A-Nee's in Providence RI from 8:30 to 11:30.
The "Spaces" are mostly based out of central Mass with a couple of stragglers from northern and southern New England. They combine the traditional sounds of fiddle, mandolin, guitars, bass and percussion with modern song writing, jazzy rock-edged arrangements and tight three-part harmonies. They take audiences on a musical joy ride that has some people saying: “I can’t believe that’s bluegrass!” Anything can happen – and usually does.
The Spaces draw their inspiration from the likes of Alison Krauss, Kate Wolf, Bill Monroe, Billy Strings, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Buffet, the Beatles and many others. And of course, they have many of their original songs that can be heard on their debut CD “Fiddletown”. Fiddletown includes 13 of the band’s original compositions.
Whether you prefer beautiful Celtic fiddle reels, rockin’ guitar solos, Beatle-esque and “high lonesome” style harmonies, or even some washboard-tapping fireworks, come join the Spaces for an evening of good-humored musical alchemy.

Wide Open Spaces band - Bluegrass without Borders is: Mud Rocheleau-Demers (guitar, vocals), Pete (Pepe) Fein (banjo), Pete Anick (mandolin, fiddle, vocals), Matt Carlen (guitar, vocals), Jeff Horton Horton Horton (bass, vocals), and Paul Wolf (drums, washboard).

Nick-A-Nees offers a short menu of pub food, beverages, is dog-friendly and is a cash-only venue. There is an ATM on site.
We hope to see you there.
