Hi everyone,

If you were planning on heading to The Burren for a bluegrass jam this Saturday, I have a quick update: there won't be one.

As it happens, I’ll be heading "out west"—to Framingham, that is—for the Joe Val Bluegrass Festival. By "attending," I mean I'll be keeping busy teaching a workshop, running some jams, and performing with my bluegrass kin.

And by "kin," I mean my fellow Something Brothers (Dan Africk and Michael Siegal), along with the wonderful Julie Metcalf.

For those interested in catching a set (or those looking for a list of places to avoid me), here is my schedule:


- Thursday 7:00 pm: Music Theory You Can Use (workshop) @ Venetian B

- Thursday 8:30 pm: Swing Jam (jam) @ Regency A

- Friday 8:00 pm: BG Jam (jam) @ Regency C

- Saturday 8:45 pm: The Something Brothers featuring Julie Metcalf (Showcase Stage)

- Sunday 10:30 am: BG Jam (jam) @ Legacy C
