The Mill Town Rounders are looking for a new upright bass player. Roughly half our repertoire are originals, mostly "Americana" style songs. We also play traditional bluegrass as well as blues, rock, country, and folk tunes. We are a 6 person group with guitar, uke, harmonica, banjo, and upright bass. Any money we make from gigs is put back into the band to pay for studio time, production costs for video content, fees to maintain our website, replacing or upgrading equipment, etc., i.e. this is not a money-making endeavor. Money aside, we absolutely love what we do and are a wonderful group of people who have been playing together for over 10 years. We are looking for someone who wants to be a permanent member (i.e. not a hired gun) who will collaborate in song-writing and arrangement of covers. It would be a bonus if you sing, but it's not required. We typically practice 2-3 times a month (at a house in Maynard) and play out 6-12 times a year. Please visit our website (milltownrounders.com) and our Youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/@milltownrounders1193) and see/hear what we are all about. If interested please contact me and we can arrange a time to get together with the band.
