The time has come for me to depart with two mandolins that have served me well for 20 plus years. In the last few months I have lost my ability to hear music so my playing days are over and I’d like to find a home for them. I am hoping for a local (Boston area) sale where shipping is not an issue. 6K for both!

The first instrument is a 1994 O’Brien, A model (with F-holes) built by New Hampshire Luthier Jack O’Brien. I bought it from its original owner in 2002.

The second instrument is a 2003 Red Diamond, A model (with f holes) built by Ohio luthier Don MacRostie. I am the original owner of this instrument.

Both instruments have been played extensively and have normal wear but nothing that requires attention. They each come with rectangular case.

Over the years each of these instruments have received many compliments in spite of my so-so playing. When asked which one is my favorite I always answered “the one in my hand.
