We all use words to attempt to do "something".

Words are interesting to me.

The example I like is the word "table".

Picture a normal dining room table ... and then start imagining the
making of that table.

See all the "parts" of the final table scattered about a room and then
piled up together and then arranged in a shipping container and the
being reassembled at so other location.

The WORD "table" is not a table.  It is a word representing a thing ...
some works represent ideas or activities or so many other "things".

The word thing is not a thing either.

Many in this group use words to express their ideas.  Sometimes the
intent seems to be to effect a result rather than express a thought. 
Sometimes it is a conclusion that is being expressed ... sometimes the
conclusion being expressed is meant to be absolute ... not absolute as
the conclusion of the expressor but rather the conclusion that not other
way-of-thinking is reasonable.

Some disagreements are intended but many are not.  Some differences of
opinion are not expressed in effective ways.

I wish we could spend more time tolerating the ideas of others but not
forcing our own differing ideas on them.

I am proud to be libertarian-leaning.  I do not like right slanted nor
left slanted "information".

I am afraid when our country seems to be leaning so many hard ways ...
ways where one "side" or the other (or the other, etc.) was to be the
ONLY SIDE.  That does not turn out well.

Our whole country was founded on a new idea of divided and compromised
government ... cooperation was required to get anything done.  Some
States did things differently than other States ... some stuff had to be
done by fiat ... but not much. Everything cannot be done effectively
with only one set of ideas being the only ideas.

If you have moved into a gated community and just found out you cannot
build an out building and absolutely want that out building and that is
the most important thing for you (not the pool, not the community
center, not the golf course, etc.) ... find another place to live.  If
the neighborhood stinks  and most people there do not mind, find another
... another town ... another city ... another county ... another State
... another country.

I noticed Nolan would have shot each and every person attacking the
Capitol ... I wonder if he would approve of just shooting "all" the BLM
folks attacking a police line, some throwing bricks, some even shooting
at cops.

I wonder which side each of us would choose if we were the ones at the
time of the American Revolution or the War of 1812 (who started that any
way?)

Nolan is right. Live ammo would have stopped that shit cold. But I am also in favor of tire tracks on people who block roads and force other people to be late for work so ymmv.

My first act as Dictator is ban all Public Unions.

I am 100% serious. The folks who attacked Congress were insurrectionists who should have been shot. No snark. Fuck that shit. We voted, my side lost. Next hand. The folks who entered the Capitol should have been shot the minute they breeched and attacked America. The ones who survived should have been charged with sedition. 

I am way more conservative that 95% of this group, but the BS being spewed about the Insurrection has nothing to do with Conservatism. Its pure BS and makes my life as a Conservative impossibly hard. I am done coddling the insane left but even more done with the denialism of the right.

As far as Private Unions, they dont have the same built in corruption of Public Unions. I dont like Private Unions but I would never ban them by law.

Wow ... think back on what you heard about the "attack/demonstration" ... at "exactly" what moment should the good guys begin shooting the bad guys?  Apparently you are not limiting the shooting to those attackers who are armed.  Everyone gets shot.  When do you begin?

I agree the Insurrection had nothing at all to do with "Conservatism" ... please elaborate on exactly what "coddling the insane left" means?  Also a little more elaboration of the "denialism of the right".  That would help me ... even though only a libertarian.
