Who could have seen this coming? Apparently our Taliban "partners" put together a cabinet with NO women or LGBTQ members on it. Shocker.  Biden threatens to reduce the amount of ransom/humanitarian aid in return for the US hostages. Hunter and the "Big Guy" fear their kickbacks might be reduced proportionally. The state department blocks private flights in/out of Afghanistan in order to not disrupt WH appeasement efforts.

In other news, the Iranians threw a few gays off a building to celebrate Blinken and the state department waiving sanctions on their oil exports, hoping to get them back to the nuclear deal.

What is the source of your bizarre fixation on Hunter Biden, who is not a member of the government and receives no “kickbacks”?  I don’t recall you being in a tizzy about Ivanka or Jared, who were in government positions and cashed in handsomely.

A Google search for “Iranians throw gays off buildings” returns nothing from 2021. Please help us with a link to this news story.

"Hunter Biden, who is not a member of the government and receives no kickbacks".
I can see where you were confused. Hunter is a member of BHR which is the CCP, so not a member of *our government*.  And he doesn't receive "kickbacks". They call it "salary" and "bonuses".  My bad for befuddling you. I'll leave it as an exercise for you to figure out who the "Big Guy" might be.

A Google search...  sorry, can't help you. But I do feel sympathy for you.

George Mesires, Hunter Biden's attorney, wrote in a statement posted on Medium that Hunter Biden had decided to resign his seat on the board of the Chinese investment firm BHR.

Mesires said Biden had not received any compensation for being on the board, nor did he receive any equity in it while Joe Biden was vice president. “

So the Iranian story doesn’t exist and is a fever dream you had. Got it.

"While Joe Biden was vice president"...  got anything more recent?

Wait, here's something a little more recent, from Google of all places (Feb 2021)
"In response to a question from The Post, White House press secretary Jen Psaki acknowledged that Hunter Biden was still an investor in Bohai Harvest RST (Shanghai) Equity Investment Fund Management Co., known as BHR."

"In October 2019, Hunter’s lawyer, George Mesires, issued a statement that said Hunter “intends to resign from the BHR board of directors on or by October 31, 2019.”

"had decided to resign"
"intends to resign"

I forgot... you're in academia.  Should have a good grasp on the English language. Does anything above imply that anything actually happened?  Maybe that's a little short and we should give him a few years to make it happen. I'm sure he has good intentions.

Investors in a company which invests in another company do not receive “salary and bonuses” (Quick, 7:30 pm). Nor for that matter do they receive “kickbacks” (Quick, 6:52 pm).

You will certainly retract those two quotes statements as we all know you are an honorable man.

Lookie what I found using my Google Machine!

We are all still waiting for a link to a story reporting that Iranians threw gays off of buildings recently. You may have forgotten to supply that link. This reminder is a courtesy.

I neither know where you got the idea that I am in academia (I am not) or what difference that makes to our discussion.

I do know you were at one time a software engineer, a career which requires logical thinking and searching for and documenting root causes. Are you retired from that business?

Doh... it's Meck who is in academia. My bad. I'll try to speak slower and louder.

Here are some questions for you: simple yes/no answers will suffice.
  1. How do you know they don't receive kickbacks?  Do you have a cite for that?
  2. You don't believe Iranians throw gays off of buildings?
  3. Substitute "compensation and gains" for "salary and bonuses".  Is that better?
Lookie what I found on your Google Machine. Same page but just a few hits below yours. Strange because it's 3 months more recent than yours.

You've worked really hard to divert from US hostages abandoned in Afghanistan (and attempts to get them out blocked by our state department) to Iranians throwing gays off of buildings to Hunter's and the "Big Guy"'s investments and payouts from China.

What exactly do you think about the abandoned US hostages in Afghanistan?
I understand the marching orders are to divert from that, but what do YOU think?

Quick, once again... when you make a claim the burden of proof is on you. It's your job to prove what you say is true, not the job of other people to prove your claims false. Throwing random shit at the wall and expecting other people to prove it true or false just makes you look weak, deluded, and gullible.

You're back (I thought you were just going to let Dave swing after his selfless, unwavering loyalty).
First though, I'm still waiting your response (then we can discuss delusions).
You know, burden of proof, just making stuff up... or worse.

On 9/3 Quick writes:
Here is what you said (since you have recently taken to snipping context and a lot of relevant information that doesn't fit your narrative in your replies -- makes me sad since you used to be straight up).

Patti writes [in response to Quick]:
OK, I'm going to be very direct. You posted this earlier:
I found this quote from Republican Brian Mast:   "We gaveled in, had a
prayer, said the Pledge of Allegiance, took a moment of silence with
pretty much all Republican veterans, then asked to be recognized to read
names and bring up Afghanistan legislation," Mast told the Floridian.
"They did not acknowledge us, and just closed the House down."

Can you check to see where you snipped that out of? It appears to be a quote within a quote that was in some email posted by someone. You did not include the attributions some reason.

I'm sure I could have screwed up on the mechanics, since I'm not as diligent as you are, but I am positive I never claimed that to be the source of my original post. As before:

Quick posts his source:
Lol, I was watching an interview on TV where they were asking a real live house representative (no, can't remember the name. It was a male (well, appeared from the clothing, haircut, and facial features to be a male but I do not know their actual biological birth gender or how they identify).

I understand if it was just a hurried mistake. even for an email expert extraordinaire, but if it was intentional I find it rather egregious and unworthy.

LOL prove a negative

Blinken has been Secretary of State since January 2021. Please supply a link reporting that Iranians have thrown gays off of buildings since then.

No it isn’t.

I haven’t said a word about Afghanistan here. Either ease up on or increase your meds.

I think the withdrawal was poorly planned and executed.

Au contraire. I've just stopped taking your delusions seriously. Mostly I've stopped reading them because life's too short to be bothered with lunatic ravings.

Oh honey... who do you think I adopted that tactic from? You still haven't responded to direct questions from months ago.

You're going to double down? I have NEVER (even considered) attributing a post to someone else as a ploy.

You misspelled error.

Modern email quoting sucks pustulent donkey balls.
