Amy Williams, the Executive Director of National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) kindly shared a summary of recent discussions comparing the outcomes of dual enrollment and AP:
Inside Higher Ed (IHE) had a blog post in Confessions of a Community College Dean: "Dual Enrollment or AP: Which would you recommend?" (I suspect this is an easy answer for many in our community).
Related, but not directly an AP vs DE discussion, is a new book about the staggering shortcomings of AP from an AP teacher's perspective. Shortchanged: How Advanced Placement Cheats Students got a few mentions this week in articles with scathing titles such as IHE's A Brutal Critique of AP Courses and Vox's The Real Problem With AP Classes.
Enjoy!

It is not beyond our power to create a world in which all children have access to a good education. In my travels all over the world, I have come to realize that what distinguishes one child from another is not ability, but access. Access to education, access to opportunity, access to love. -- Nelson Mandela
