Hello Fellow Dual Enrollment Colleagues,
I'm wondering if any of you have a formal process for students to request/receive their midterm grades and/or other progress reports, similar to that of which high schools provide to them during regular semesters. Our practice
at SRJC has been that dual enrollment students check their Canvas account or request this information directly from their college instructor, but not all of our instructors use Canvas nor respond to the students' requests. Does anyone have a process that has
been institutionalized? If so, did it need to be negotiated with faculty?
At times we have high school students who request an official progress report of their college courses, but official transcripts 1) do not include midterm grade
reports, 2) are not required for faculty to submit, and 3) wouldn’t be posted in time to meet the students’ needs. So I’m wondering if anyone has another process?
Thank you,
Vanessa Luna Shannon
