There are six unique sessions on Wednesdays from 3-5pm:
Session 1 – Grant Writing Overview (8/17). Participants learn the requirements and tasks required to prepare a high‐quality, competitive grant.
Session 2 – Writing a Holistic Proposal (8/24). Participants learn how to craft a comprehensive grant that strategically associates the need, solution, strategies, and budget.
Session 3 – Leading with Equity (8/31). Participants learn how to effectively identify and address local equity issues.
Session 4 – Turning Mission Into Vision (9/7). You have an organizational mission and an idea of what you want to do with additional funding. How do you take that idea and transform it into a compelling vision?
Session 5 – Wordsmithing (9/14). Grant Writing is competitive. This session will focus on writing, everything from effectively describing your activities and outcomes to justifying your return on investment in a clear, convincing, and compelling way.
Session 6 - Addressing Grant Writing Challenges (9/21). This session will cover questions and challenges that develop during the grant writing process.

Workshops will be presented by Linda Wells, Ed.D., who brings over 30 years of educational experience in Career Technical Education, Special Education, course development, and the arts to these informative presentations. She will share strategies she has used to secure over $30M in grants. She is the author of Power Writing: Ten Techniques Guaranteed to Strengthen Your Grant Writing Skills, scheduled for a Fall 2022 release.
