Dear Bay Area K12 Teaching Staff:

The Bay Area Community College Consortium (BACCC) has partnered with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) to offer an amazing professional development opportunity to Community College and K12 educators.

"Creating an Inclusive and Supportive Online Learning Environment" is a micro-credential course focusing on effective teaching and course design practices.

This FREE course will begin Monday, October 11, 2021, and will conclude in early-December. Bay Region Community College faculty and/or teachers and counselors in the K12 system who teach Career Education, Career Exploration, or Career Technical Education are welcome and encouraged to apply

This course consists of 7 modules that are nearly completely asynchronous, with one module offered per week. The average time commitment in completing the course is 3-4 hours per week.

Upon completion of this course:

  • Each participant will earn a digital badge which can be added to curriculum vitae, used in online teaching portfolios, and displayed on LinkedIn profiles or webpages as a sign of achievement
  • Each participant will earn a nationally recognized certificate from ACUE
  • Each participant who completes the course and meets curriculum implementation requirements will receive $500.00 (Exception: employees of Cabrillo College will receive $500.00 less any employer/employee required deductions.) Please review our Letter of Understanding
