Please join the Rising Scholars Network Youth Justice Reimagined event Wednesday, April 27th. This event will address the surrounding youth work within Juvenile Probation departments, County Offices of Ed, and youth detention facilities. These programs are exploring alternatives to incarceration models, dual enrollment opportunities, online courses, transitions support, and more.

Description: Discussion on juvenile justice realignment (SB823) and higher education programming inside youth facilities. The event will feature youth justice student leaders, Solano College and Solano County Probation Chief, as well as representatives from San Mateo Community College District's Project Change. There will be interactive breakout sessions, time for collaborative discussion and question asking, and as a Network we'll continue this thread of conversation about what it means to truly serve system-impacted youth with access to higher education and support.
