Please share the following with your instructors who have taught dual enrollment courses, particularly those in CTE disciplines:

The Foundation for California Community Colleges, the official nonprofit auxiliary of the Chancellor’s Office, is conducting a statewide study to better understand how work-based learning (WBL) activities are used to help dual enrollment students explore and understand their career options. WBL activities—such as job fairs, guest speakers, internships, or apprenticeships—provide dual enrollment students with valuable exposure to real-world career pathways, helping them gain the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed for success in the workforce.
If you’ve taught dual enrollment students and incorporated WBL activities into your college course, we would encourage you to participate in the survey to share your valuable insights.
The brief survey will ask about the types of WBL activities you’ve used, your reasons for using them, and your perceptions of their impact on dual enrollment students.
  • The survey takes no more than 15 minutes to complete
  • Participation is completely voluntary
  • All responses are anonymous
  • Participants will be entered into a drawing to win one of four $25 gift cards
  • The survey closes on October 17, 2025
Your feedback will help shape strategies to strengthen WBL opportunities for dual enrollment students statewide. Please feel free to reach out to Jill Leufgen (jleu...@foundationccc.org) at the Foundation for California Community Colleges with any questions.

To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness. - Howard Zinn
