Tamera Norwood earned an IRLS
degree from the University of Arizona in 2008 and a B.A. in English from California State University, Stanislaus in 1993. She has served as a volunteer, library assistant and librarian for Maricopa County Library District at the Ed Robson and Queen Creek branches and Chandler Public Library at the Basha Chandler Library. Prior to accepting the position of Library Services manager for Show Low Public Library, she was the Library and Community Programs Manager for the City of Maricopa, AZ. As a resident of Arizona for thirty-years, Tamera has long desired to live and work in a mountain community, providing professional library services to rural communities.
Terry Ann Lawler: Secretary

Terry Ann Lawler has worked in Arizona Libraries for over 20 years and is currently the Manager of the Avondale Public Library System. She was an American Library Association Emerging Leader and has been actively involved in the American Library Association for more than 10 years and is seeking a more active role in the AzLA. She has experience as Board Secretary on 2 previous and one current Board, totalling 15 years. Ms. Lawler is passionate about success of libraries and librarianship in Arizona.
Bob Diaz: Southern Representative:

Joseph (Bob) Diaz is a native of Tucson, Arizona. He received his BA degree in Psychology in 1982 and his MLS in 1986, both from the University of Arizona. After graduation, Bob worked briefly at the Nogales Santa Cruz County Library. From there, he served as undergraduate services librarian at the University of Michigan, where he worked for over five years. In 1992, Bob was hired by the University of Arizona Library and has since held a variety of jobs there, including that of Assistant to the Dean for Staff Development, Recruitment and Diversity (1992-1999), music, dance and theater arts librarian (1999-2011), and coordinator of exhibits and events for the Special Collections department (2011-2018). He is currently the curator for the performing arts and architecture and coordinator of reference services for Special Collections. Bob is the author of a number of publications related to library services to diverse populations. He has also been a member of ALA, REFORMA and AZLA since he started Library School back in 1985. Within AZLA, he has served as chair of the former Services to the Spanish Speaking Roundtable, chair of the Services to Diverse Populations Interest group, and as the AZLA Board’s Southern Regional Representative. He looks forward to yet another round of service in this capacity.
