Editing records through CSV upload

Kia ora,

Having a play with bulk editing records ('uploading affiliations') using a CSV file on test.  I've attached the file I'm using.  The issues I'm having are:

- clear documentation on the structure of the file (maybe a specimen/model file would be a good thing to have?) 

- I'm getting the following error: 

 Webservice currently unavailable Error: 

'NoneType' object has no attribute 'lower'

An unexpected condition was encountered.

Our service team has been dispatched to bring it back online.

I'm assuming that is a sign of a badly formatted input file?

Hi Anton,

 

The attached should work.  There were two problems “course/department” would’ve been ignored but “department” is fine.

 

The real breaker was “affilliation type”; as there’s no “affiliation type” the Hub reads a NoneType for this required field.

 

And yes an example template is a good idea.  Will see if we can get one up.
