This list is simply a place to point to key resources of interest to those following the Hub's Development:
Although this collection is unlikely to change, if any of the above should break please refer to the authoritative list being maintained at the Society's NZ ORCID Hub and IT Advisory Group page.
As a guide, the initial milestone for the Hub project is for the Hub to be a web-based platform allowing researchers employed at Tuakiri-member organisations to have these affiliations authoritatively asserted by the organisation in their ORCID record. The prospective launch for the Hub is by the end of June 2017. As this goal is met, or exceeded, additional functionality will be added with priority set by the Product Owner assisted by the IT Advisory Group, and the community's, feedback.
Key future goals for the Hub's feature set will from amongst: allowing non-Tuakiri member organisations to provide content and invite researchers in a fashion that allows them to authoritatively add employment and/or education relationships to their researcher's ORCID records; allowing research funders to invite researchers in a fashion that allows them to authoritatively add funding relationships to their supported researcher's ORCID records; supporting the use of non-Tuakiri identity providers such as ADFS; allowing Tuakiri-member organisations to provide a richer record of the relevant relationship than available through Tuakiri attributes, etc. Please also note that although these resources are all publicly available, in some instances they require permission to contribute; if you want to get involved, please email or...@royalsociety.org.nz with your request.Best wishes,Jason.
