| Ihanaa viikkoa!
Vaikka ulkona loskasää ei vielä olekaan helpottamassa hetkeen, niin koitetaan löytää yhdessä arjesta auringonpilkahduksia tämän sään keskelle. Ainakin viime viikolla julistettu Wappu inspiroi ja innostaa, miettikääpä sitä että Wapun aikaan on enää reilu kuukausi! Kaverisitsejä keskiviikkona odotan myös tosi innolla ja ne tuo paljon iloa tähän viikkoon <3 muistakaa ottaa tällä viikolla hetkiä itellenne ja tehdä kivoja juttuja!!

| Viikon hyvä uutinen: Kuukautishygienia on nyt perusoikeus Intiassa
Intian korkein oikeus on linjannut, että kuukautishygienia on perusoikeus. Tämä historiallinen päätös tarkoittaa, että kaikkien koulujen Intiassa on tarjottava oppilaille kuukautissuojia ilmaiseksi. Tutkimusten mukaan huono kuukautissuojien saatavuus on ollut intialaisille tytöille este koulunkäynnille ja ilmaiset kuukautissuojat koulussa parantavat läsnäoloa. Intian korkeimman oikeuden mukaan päätöksellä halutaan myös viestiä kaikille kehonsa esteenä nähneille lapsille, että vika ei ole heidän. |

Even though the slushy weather outside isn't letting up just yet, let's try to find some rays of sunshine in our everyday lives amid this weather. At least last week's announcement of Wappu is inspiring and exciting—just think, Wappu is only a little over a month away! I'm also really looking forward to Friends' sitsis on Wednesday, which will bring a lot of joy to this week <3 Remember to take some time for yourselves this week and do fun things!

| Good news of the week: Menstrual hygiene is now a fundamental right in India
The Supreme Court of India has ruled that menstrual hygiene is a fundamental right. This historic decision means that all schools in India must provide sanitary pads to students free of charge. Studies show that poor access to sanitary pads has been a barrier to schooling for Indian girls, and that free sanitary pads at school improve attendance. According to the Supreme Court of India, the decision also aims to send a message to all children who have seen their bodies as a barrier that the fault does not lie with them. |
