Retuperän WBK returns to Finlandia Hall
The world's best newer-French-horn-music-playing technology student orchestra from Aalto University in Espoo, Retuperäs WBK, will host their biannual grand concert at Töölönlahti Fire Brigade Hall for the first time in four years on March 21, 2025, starting at 7:00 PM.
Retuperä's chemically enhanced brass septet will once again emerge from the depths of the common folk to take the stage also known as Finlandia Hall. The approximately 2.5-hour show will be conducted by our orchestra's artistic misleader, Minna-Aria Häsling. Alongside Retuperä WBK, the event will feature the brightest shooting stars of Finland's soloist constellation, interpreting both classical music’s timeless masterpieces and cutting-edge arrangements, retouched by our national song arranger, Simeon Suihkutsalo.
Tickets for the event will cost between 15€ and 70€, depending on ticket class and purchase speed, so we highly recommend you go to liput.rwbk.fi as soon as possible. Tickets will be sold at campus on week 9, exact time will be announced via social media.
Note that the concert will be held in Finnish.
The greatest "appro" of the year is coming again!
KERTUN KEPITTÄJÄISET bar crawl brings springtime in Kallio to life when students in Helsinki are unleashed to chase stamps and ever-higher ladybug levels. The bar crawl will take place on Wednesday 12 March 2025. This event, which has enjoyed great popularity in previous years, is of course interdisciplinary.
The bar crawl will depart from the Pykälä club room (Suvilahdenkatu 5 B, 5th floor), where participants will be given a crawl map and wristband, as well as their first drink and stamp. The official after-party will be held at Apollo Live Club (Mannerheimintie 16, Forum) from 22.00. The hardest party-goers are welcome to join the continuation of the after-party at Pykälä from 2.30 am onwards.
The departure times will be between 15.00 and 19.30, and the map must be picked up at Pykälä by 19.45 at the latest. Overalls badges will be distributed in Apollo in exchange for the filled maps between 22:00 and 00:00. Make sure to arrive at Apollo before midnight!
The ticket for the event costs 15e and includes a map, a first drink at Pykälä, a wristband for entering the after-party as well as the badges according to the stamps collected.
