It was the most difficult time of our golus. The war was raging in Europe. Klal Yisrael’s future looked bleak and the great Chasiddishe Kehiillos did not yet reemerge. During this time a Gadol arrived on these shores, and rebuilt a destroyed Kehilla of Ashkenaz. But even during the difficult times, one of the first steps Rav Breuer took was to open a yeshiva for children. This Kehilla and Yeshiva became the groundwork for which the Mesoras Ashkenaz continued to thrive. Today there are countless kehillos all over the world which carry the banner of Ashekanaz including recently opened ones in Lakewood, Passaic and Brooklyn.
תורה היא עץ חיים - Torah is a tree of life. Mesoras Ashkenaz is spreading into the most beautiful tree in the world. A tree’s branches however need the roots to survive. Currently Rav Breuer’s yeshiva, the roots of Mesoras Asheknaz, is in need of funds and right now there is a campaign to support it. Please help in bringing the Yeshiva to financial stability so we can turn to our previous Gedolim and say we were there in times of need.
