Dear Asha Berkeley Supporter,

India is celebrating its independence day today, and around this time each year, people from around the world come together to help educate underprivileged children in India. Work An Hour, is a summer-long, global, online fundraising campaign based on a simple concept - that every drop matters in furthering the future of children. So we ask that you symbolically donate an hour or more of your salary towards the cause of children's education. We believe with your generous support, together we will build a better tomorrow!
11 Projects, 3646 Children, One Goal - Educate & Empower!

Our projects address important issues such as caste-based discrimination, rural and tribal education, girl empowerment, sheltering children of sex workers, child labor and migration, and special education for differently-abled children.
And our success depends on global citizens like you! We invite you to learn more about how our projects are helping shape a better future!, and help us spread the word!
After 67 years of Independence, India is home to the world's largest illiterate population. With the 'Right to Education' becoming a law, education is now a birthright of every child in India. But, there are estimated 100+ million children below the age of 15 who are not in school, for whom education remains to be an inaccessible privilege and not their lawful right.

We, at Asha strive every day to enroll these kids in school, to make education a reality for them and to give them a hope for a better future. And we believe that you will help us achieve this dream. This independence day Think how your one hour can make a difference in the life of a child, and shape the future of our country!
Donate Now

Sincerely,
Asha for Education Volunteers!
