Lecture Capture Solution

We have been using Techsmith Knowmia (formerly Techsmith Relay) for lecture capture and video hosting. Recently we received word that Techmith is now discontinuing it.
I am wondering what your institution is using for lecture capture and what your experience with the solution has been. It would also be helpful to know approximate costs/licensing model.

At Washington and Lee we switched to Yuja. It seems to be working great, and is pretty easy to learn. It also integrates well with our Canvas LMS. I do not know what their licensing model is, but I’m sure if you contact them directly they could put together a cost estimate.

Hi Sal,
When Tegrity was deprecated in 2019, Campbell selected Panopto after exploring our options. Yuja and Echo360 were on our radar, but Panopto had very aggressive discounts for migrating our existing content. We’re a Blackboard school, and I’ve been pleased with the Panopto integration. I’m afraid I can’t speak to the pricing although I do know it is a sliding scale based on FTE.
