University Mobile Apps

Hey All!

 

I’m interested in knowing if any of your schools have a custom mobile app that you use for communicating with Students and/or Employees.  I’m not referring to a mobile-optimized rendering of your regular website and/or for anything that is marketing-focused.   I’m more interested in knowing if you have an exclusive mobile-app-based solution purposed primarily for streamlining and modernizing the communication lines between your school and its established constituents (employees, students, etc.).    This could be used for announcements, calendar of events, push notifications, general information, etc. 

 

If you DO currently have a mobile app as described above, what platform or company do you use for it?   (If you have in-house developers who code something from scratch, that’s less likely to be of interest and use to us).   And how much does it cost?  Are you pleased with it?  How do you currently make use of it?
