I am trying to automate the daily download of publication metadata, but would like to understand how "quickly" is the metadata for publications available. For example, if my process wakes up at 12:01am 6/5/2025, what is the most current days' worth of publication metadata that will be available? It appears there is a day or 2 lag between the time the publication is ingested by arXiv and the metadata is available via the API. So in this case, what would be the best start and end date and times that should be passed to the API?

Follow-up question, are a single days publications metadata available all on a single day or is a single days publication metadata spread over multiple days?

Wanting to understand so that I can build a resilient metadata downloader that ensures we capture all data specific to a given day.
