LibPMC Peer Reviewer Webinar - of interest

The International Conference on Performance Measurement in Libraries (LibPMC) is held every two years. In between, the conference’s Community Building Team conducts outreach activities to those working in all libraries. On February 28th, we are offering a free webinar discussing
“Why Should You be a Peer Reviewer?: Roles, Responsibilities, and Perks.”
The webinar panel includes four editors of peer-reviewed journals representing publications in four countries (Canada, Nigeria, Poland, and United States). Panelist bios are provided below with links to their respective journals on the attached flyer. While the webinar is focused on peer reviewing for library journals, the principles and discussion should benefit anyone interested in becoming a peer reviewer.

Helen Chuma-Okoro
Helen Chuma-Okoro is an Associate Research Professor at the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS) and the Deputy Director for Monitoring and Evaluation at the NIALS Postgraduate School. She has a PhD in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Cape Town, an LL.M from the University of Lagos and an LL.B from the University of Calabar. She is currently the Deputy Editor, NIALS Journal of Intellectual Property (NJIP); Country Lead, Creative Commons Nigerian Chapter.
Ann Medaille
Ann Medaille is the Director of Research and Instructional Services at the University of Nevada, Reno Libraries and Editor-in-Chief of EBLIP. She is the author of the book The Librarian’s Guide to Learning Theory: Practical Applications in Library Settings and co-author of Visual Literacy for Libraries: A Practical, Standards-Based Guide, both of which were published by ALA Editions.
Ngozi P. Osuchukwu

Ngozi Perpetua Osuchukwu is a certified Librarian of Nigeria (CLN) with PhD in Library & Information Science. She is a Lecturer in the Department of Library & Information Science, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. She is also an editor, researcher, development practitioner and a Wikimedian. Ngozi has presented and published articles, locally and internationally. Her research interests include literacy, children, community information and engagement, library development, Wikimedia, women and social justice.
Kristen Totleben
Kristen Totleben is Editor of College & Research Libraries, the Association of College & Research Libraries' bimonthly peer-reviewed scholarly journal. She is the Open Publishing Librarian at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, USA.
Holt Zaugg
Holt is the Assessment Librarian at Brigham Young University. He has been a peer reviewer for five journals and four conferences over the past 10 years. He is currently the Associate Editor of the Performance Measurement and Metrics Journal working with the journal’s editor, Frankie Wilson (frankie...@bodleian.ox.ac.uk). Holt will moderate the webinar panel.
