A colleague is doing research on how people think/feel about AI behaviors. Her recruitment strategies were overrun by bots, and she's going now for more of a "send to real people" approach. I know you all are real 😂 and also thought you might be a) interested and b) willing to help with a research project (given that we have so many ourselves).

I’m conducting a study as part of my funded project, looking at how people think and feel about different kinds of AI behaviors.

 

Unfortunately, my initial recruitment efforts were overrun by bots and scammers … so I need to revise my recruitment approach, and I’m now inviting people I know to participate. I know you all are real. =)

Invitation to participate: Research Study on Beliefs about AI Behavior

 

I’m Dr. Jaime Banks – professor and researcher at Syracuse University – and I'm conducting a study of people's thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about large language models (LLMs, like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and LLM-driven technologies (like AI companions, AI search summaries). Please consider participating!

 

We are looking for people to interview, from all types of different backgrounds and levels of experience—even no experience! Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a gift card drawing, and everyone who completes an interview will get a US$30 Amazon gift card. (Not everyone will be selected for the interviews.)
