Dear Colleagues,

Teams of diverse Research Computing and Data (RCD) professionals work together to advance science.

Unfortunately, we know little about these professionals. To fill this knowledge gap, we are asking for 15 minutes of your time to complete an anonymous and confidential survey. Responses will be used to directly inform program development initiatives for the Research Computing and Data workforce via the Campus Resaerch Computing Consortium (CaRCC).

Take the survey now https://tinyurl.com/2025RCDSURVEY  (Should only take 15 minutes)

Anyone completing the survey by August 29th will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of 30 gift cards ($75 or $100 value).

If you have any questions about this research, please contact the study PI, Ashley Stauffer at al...@psu.edu.

Thank you,
The CaRCC RCD Professionalization Working Group

More about this study:

RCD professionals are individuals who support research endeavors by providing expertise in computing, data, and related technologies to advance science. If you work in research computing and data facilitation, systems, software, data management, project management, communications/outreach, strategy/policy, or other roles, we want to hear from you.

The CaRCC RCD Professionalization Working Group developed this survey to better understand the professionals who power research computing and data across institutions in the United States and Canada. Your input will:

  • Inform national understanding and advocacy
  • Drive community support
  • Directly guide future CaRCC programs and community resources
