There are only four days left before the deadline for most of the IFLA WLIC 2026 grant applications - now is the perfect moment to act!
This year, we're offering six types of grants, all designed to broaden participation by supporting library and information professionals from diverse backgrounds to participate to attend the IFLA’s flagship global conference in Busan, South Korea.
Some of the grants are exclusively available to IFLA members, so this is your moment to take advantage of your membership! And the best part - you are absolutely welcome to apply to any of them, provided you match the eligibility criteria.
· IFLA Emerging Leaders Grants (deadline: 28 February 2026)
Designed to support individuals with strong leadership potential, helping them expand their professional horizons, raise their profile, and contribute meaningfully to IFLA’s strategic goals.
· Discovery grants (deadline: 28 February 2026)
Available to professionals from IFLA member institutions and other membership categories.
· Pacific Grants (deadline: 28 February 2026)
Supporting five professionals from Pacific countries (excluding Australia and New Zealand) to attend WLIC 2026.
· Margreet Wijnstroom Grant (deadline: 28 February 2026)
Awarded to one delegate from an UN-designated least developed country to attend the Congress.
· Angela Bersekowski Grants (deadline: 28 February 2026)
Offering 10 grants to support young professionals attending the Congress.
· Dr. Shawky Salem Conference Grant (SSCG) (deadline: 31 March 2026)
Enables one expert in library and information sciences from the Arab Countries to attend the IFLA Congress.
