Hi all,

eLife has today introduced ReFigure, an open-source browser extension for linking, curating and sharing scientific insights across the web.

ReFigure allows users to create sets of related experiments, including their own published data, on Figshare as well as figures from across the literature. By making every experiment and figure an actionable, creditable finding, it provides a means for researchers to share incrementally and receive credit for their important insights that link publications and verify results.

You can find out more about the project in our latest eLife Labs post: https://elifesciences.org/labs/72170376/refigure-connecting-scientific-insights-across-the-web

The beta version of ReFigure is now available, and can be used to connect insights across PubMedCentral, eLife, PLoS journals, and Figshare. We’d love to hear if other open-access journals would be interested in supporting the development of the extension to work on their website, and invite feedback via email to innov...@elifesciences.org.

For more information, or to speak with someone further about ReFigure, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Best wishes,

Emily
