Greetings.

I was trying to run The Iron Fist and Footsteps of Pyrrhus on the latest version of Antares, and noted a couple problems. In Iron Fist, planets that should be able to build Obish Escorts and fighters cannot do so; only Carriers, Transports, and Assault Transports. Planets in question that I know about are the bases captured first by the player in Missions 3A and 4A. In Footsteps, the fourth mission frequently crashes Antares and the victory condition does not trigger. I've confirmed these are errors by way of playing both plugs on Ares 1.2.0 on an OS9 machine. Other errors may exist, but I'm not able to discover them as in both cases the problems prohibit further progress.

Take a look at them? Maybe you can find where they're going wrong.

Thanks for all your work on Antares! It is most appreciated!
U.E.

Oh, I can see how that would happen. I changed the way that Antares maps buildable ship classes (Cruiser/200) to specific ships, and in those two cases it needs to map cruiser to escort and fighter to interceptor (I believe). I’ll take a look.

FYI, the *NN cheat works in Antares. Type *08 on the select-level screen to unlock the eighth chapter (though, Iron Fist chapter numbers don’t really correspond well to the names of the level).

Ah, the Iron Fist problem is twofold. I didn’t have the escort and interceptor mapped to cruiser and fighter, but that’s also not the correct mapping; they map to gunship and cruiser.

I tried Chapter 4 (“…But Who Are They?”) of FoP, and there’s definitely a bug, though I’m seeing different results from you. In my case, I can’t get the first condition (approaching “Empty Space?”) to trigger at all. No crashes. I’m using the latest Antares because it’s easier to test and use modified plugins, so a bug might manifest itself differently from 0.9.1.

Can you be more specific about what you’re seeing? Are you able to complete some objectives? Are crashes possible from the start, or only after completing certain objectives?
