First off let me thank you for providing a system, such as Arduino. You folks have done an outstanding job of #1 having the insight and common sense approach ,to putting in place a system, that is for beginners,and has been maintained that way. You deserve a big thank you, and please keep it that way so dummies like me can enjoy a non fatal challenge.
A little history about me ,so you will understand why you deserve a round of applause.
I am 85 years old, never even heard of Arduino till a year ago. Since then ,I have modified a sketch to fit a situation, that has been on the verge of being trashed. The hardware has been rescued and put back into operation, much to everyone's surprise.

This is a perfect example of why I have always done open source.
Inspiration from comments like this are pleasing.

In my 20+ years as a Linux kernel dev, I've seen this sort of thanks before. Unfortunately it mostly comes from the older - and socially wiser - users.
