g_APinDescription (ArduinoCore-samd) Accessors...

Shouldn’t all of the fields of g_APinDescription[] structures be accessed via accessor macros or functions (like digitalPinToPort())? And shouldn’t all of those be defined off in the variant.h file (digitalPinToInterrupt() is currently defined in cores/Arduino.h. Perhaps incorrectly, as well as being the wrong place?)

I’ve been thinking about refactoring the samd code to work better on some of the really tiny chips (SAMD09, etc.)
Much of that will just be new code, but some ideas seem like they should propagate.
