Variable with original sketch folder

Hi guys,

One of my systems require access to the original sketch folder when building/uploading, because I might have some extra data in there that needs to be packed
for programming.

I was not able to find any variable that I can use inside "platform.txt" which depicts the original sketch folder, and since my data resides on a sketch
sub-directory, it is not copied along to the <build folder>/sketch/.

Is there such a variable laying around, or do you see any way for me to locate the folder without modifying the core code?
