Dear all,

Good news for anyone planning to submit to iPRES 2026: the submissions deadline has been extended to 16 March 2026 (end of day, Anywhere on Earth).

This is a friendly reminder that the organisers of iPRES 2026, the 22nd International Conference on Digital Preservation, invite submissions to be peer-reviewed. The conference will take place 21-25 September 2026 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and will offer both in-person and virtual participation options.

iPRES is the premier global forum for digital preservation, bringing together researchers, practitioners, and organisations from across sectors and regions. The 2026 conference explores the themes Community, Preservation, and Horizon, encouraging discussion of emerging practices, innovations, and the evolving landscape of digital preservation.

Submission categories include:

·         Full Papers: in-depth research papers, technical studies, or detailed case studies (maximum 8 pages)

·         Short Papers: work-in-progress reports or emerging topics (maximum 4 pages)

·         Workshops: interactive sessions focusing on tools, methods, standards, or best practices

·         Tutorials: educational sessions designed to teach participants new skills or technologies, with clear learning outcomes

·         Panels: moderated discussions exploring key issues and trends in digital preservation

·         Posters: visual presentations of projects, tools, or ideas encouraging discussion and engagement

Submission deadline:

16 March 2026 (End of Day, Anywhere on Earth)

Submissions can be made through the official portal:

https://www.conftool.org/ipres2026/

Further information on conference themes, submission guidelines, and contribution formats is available on the conference website.

Additional calls — including Lightning Talks, Birds of a Feather sessions, Games, and the Digital Preservation Bake-Off — will be announced in May 2026.
