Invitation for Experienced Digital Preservation Practitioners to Participate in a Study on Common Challenges Faced by New Digital Preservation Practitioners (IRB-300013366)

Dear Colleagues,

I am Grayson Murphy, the Digital Preservation Librarian at University of Alabama at Birmingham. I am currently researching solutions to common challenges faced by new digital preservation practitioners.

I am looking for participants to share their insights as an experienced digital preservation practitioner in one-on-one interviews. If you have worked in the realm of digital preservation for 5 years or more, and are interested in participating, I invite you to fill out the interest form linked below. Interviews will be conducted in April. 

These interviews represent the second stage of a two-stage research project. The purpose of this research project is to determine the common challenges faced by those new to the field of digital preservation and explore solutions to those challenges. The results will be used to create a resource that identifies methods of supporting new digital preservation practitioners through the common challenges they face. Your participation will directly and positively impact current and future members of our field.
