Dear APTrust community,

We’re excited to share a fresh blog post on the APTrust website highlighting a valuable and often underused opportunity available to all Sustaining Members: Associate Memberships.

Associate Memberships allow you to extend digital preservation services to affiliated organizations—such as community archives, campus partners, or research centers—under your existing APTrust membership. It’s a flexible way to collaborate, share resources, and support those who may not have the capacity for a Sustaining Membership on their own.

In the blog post, we explain how Associate Memberships work, why they matter, and some of the creative ways our members are already using them. We’re also introducing a new Associate Member Toolkit to make establishing and managing these partnerships easier than ever.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen local partnerships or expand your institution’s role in digital stewardship, we hope this inspires you to explore what’s possible.

As always, we’re here if you’d like to talk through ideas or logistics. Just reply or reach out to he...@aptrust.org.

Best regards,
Nathan
