We would like to inform you that some members of our organization have recently received scam emails from the address
presiden...@gmail.com. The sender claims to be the APSCE President and requests your assistance.
THIS IS A SCAM. Please do not respond to this email, click any links, or open any attachments.
We recommend that you block the sender if possible.How to Recognize Scam or Phishing Emails- The sender’s email address does not match the official organizational address, or looks suspicious.
- The email asks for urgent help, personal information, passwords, or financial assistance.
- The message uses generic greetings and does not address you by name or title.
- There are spelling, grammar, or formatting errors in the message.
- The email requests unusual actions, such as transferring money or sharing sensitive data.
What to Do If You Receive a Suspicious Email- Do not interact: Do not click any links, open attachments, or reply to the email.
- Verify: If you are unsure, contact the supposed sender through official channels (such as their official email or phone number), not the contact information provided in the suspicious email.
- Report: Forward the suspicious email to your IT department or system administrator for further investigation.
- Delete: After reporting, delete the email from your inbox.
Reminder on Information Security- Never share your personal information, passwords, or sensitive data via email.
- Always double-check the sender’s email address and the content before responding.
