Apptainer 1.4.4 is now available, fixing a few more bugs. The bugs were:
- Non-writable ext3 image files couldn't be used as a readonly overlay.
- Using --fakeroot in suid mode from an NFS directory caused a fatal error.
- 32-bit builds were broken.

The new version is also available now in the Ubuntu PPA. It should be in epel-testing and Fedora updates-testing tomorrow, and if no problems are found, in epel and Fedora updates repositories in about a week.
