Missing Feature/Privacy Issue - Google Apps Calendar Resources

Our org is new to resource calendars and we've run into a snag with permissions.  In order for users to book a resource they have to be set to "See all event details" on the resource calendar. This poses a problem for obvious reasons as we do not want users to see the details of all meetings for a particular resource. To get around this Google has advised that users scheduling meetings should mark their event as Private, but shouldn't there be a better way? Has anyone run into this and is there an enhancement scheduled to address this deficiency?

Nexteer Automotive also has this same issue.  I would love to see an enhancement as well but nothing I am aware of yet.

At Delta Hotels we've been suffering through with that issues for years.

While I've told everyone, and made a document telling them how to book meetings and keep them private, most people don't.

I think it's a ticking time bomb until someone finds a meeting room booked at 4:30 on a Friday with a title like "Fire Jane Smith".

+1 that this is definitely an issue. One which I've brought to the attention of Google in the past, but with little success.

We are back and forth on the issue of disclosure org wide as we don't want to draw unnecessary attention to this deficiency. We spoke to Google support and they indicated they would submit this for a feature request. How do we obtain visibility of that and help drive it to the top of the list? This is a basic Enterprise feature that just needs to be there and work.

I would recommend submitting a feature suggestion to the moderator, per the guidelines in the learning module. We're moving our feature feedback loop to Moderator, so others can vote on suggestions based on priority. We share top priority suggestions every quarter with the product teams.
