Hi All,

Quick poll: would any of you be interested in Android Apps to administer or manage Google Apps on the go? Our Developer Relations team is currently exploring Android Apps to help administrators creating or managing users, reporting on user activity, change settings, etc.

Please let me know if you or know of someone who'd be interested or if you have any other thoughts!

Thanks,
Jordan

We would not be interested. I don't see a use case for us where the need to administer is so urgent that it has to be done on a mobile device.

I would have a far greater concern around the potential security issues around increasing the access points capable of administration. I would not like to add the risk of cell phone loss/theft to administration security issues.

Thank you everyone! For those that indicated interest, the Developer team will follow up with you individually.

And thank you for the feedback, too - very helpful!

I've never had a need to manage my domain while on the go, or when I wasn't at my office, but I have two android devices that I use regularly and I'd be happy to test a management app.

I too would hope that it's one of those tools that only rarely needs
used, but it could be really handy in a pinch-- if nothing else as a
tool to get to our support PIN etc to open a case during an outage.
thanks!
