Subject: [research] Grace Period on NSF Research Security Training
To: <group-r...@appstate.edu>

Greetings Research Community,

Between now and December 31, the NSF is offering a grace period for their Research Security Training implementation on all submitted proposals:

  • NSF will accept proposals that include the earlier version of the Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending Support form between December 2, 2025 and December 31, 2025.

After December 31, 2025, all proposals must be fully compliant with NSF IN-149 and will be required to include the latest version implemented under this policy. Our Department of Research Protections has information on how to complete and document your NSF training here at App State. Please follow instructions on their website here.

If you are considering applying to the NSF (or any other sponsor), please contact Sponsored Programs at gra...@appstate.edu at least a month in advance to support you in your proposal submission. Our policy includes 15 days for internal routing and 2 days for final review and submission.

Best,

Sponsored Programs
