The deadline to apply for the Cloud Analytics Faculty Fellows Program (CAFF) is fast approaching!

Applications are due Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

Funded by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) and delivered by RIEEE in partnership with the High Technology Foundation (HTF) and peer institutions, CAFF is a new opportunity designed to support Appalachian State faculty in designing innovative classroom experiences that integrate:
  • NOAA weather and climate datasets
  • Modern cloud computing tools
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and real-world use cases
Five faculty fellows will be selected for the 2026–27 cohort and receive support to revise and implement a classroom activity or assignment. ARC funding will support two cohorts at Appalachian State. Faculty from all disciplines are welcome, and no prior experience with cloud tools or entrepreneurship is required - this program is designed to build your capacity with hands-on support.
