Join RIEEE for our upcoming webinar and research roll call event on Friday, October 24 at 1 p.m. as we discuss interbasin water resource transfers (IBTs) in North Carolina.
Interbasin Water Resource Transfers: Webinar and Research Roll Call This session will begin with a presentation by Anthony Starr, Executive Director of Western Piedmont Council of Governments, who will share the history of Catawba River IBTs, background information on the current North Carolina IBT moratorium, and plans for an IBT process study to be conducted by the North Carolina Collaboratory. Following this presentation, RIEEE will host a Research Roll Call to hear from Appalachian State researchers with relevant expertise and to discuss opportunities to partner in the IBT process study.
Appalachian State faculty and staff researchers who are interested in opportunities related to the study should fill out a Research Roll Call slide describing your relevant expertise and your interest.
