River City Waterway Alliance is looking for more volunteers to help with cleaning out Arcade Creek (and other urban creeks in our area). They do terrific work and have fun doing it. Check them out on FaceBook, here is a video:
Randy Smith (randa...@gmail.com) is a great contact, local guy who grew up playing in the creek along our campus, very passionate about our local environment. Working with River City Waterway Alliance could also be used as a capstone project for California Naturalist certification (while taking one of my classes with field lab) and/or do as work experience/internship in NATR 498.

Randy, that is great! Our campus is closed for the holiday. I am in north Carolina with my mom recently diagnosed woth stage 4 cancer. Back next week. Would love to reconnect though, thanks for following up! Maybe we can set up internships for next semester?
