Officer-Involved Shooting in Belgrade

Belgrade, MT – On Monday, October 27, 2025, at approximately 1718 hours, officers with the Belgrade Police Department responded to a reported disturbance on Crockett Street in Belgrade.

During the response, an officer-involved shooting occurred. One Belgrade officer sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital, where they are currently listed in stable condition. The suspect involved in the incident is deceased.

There is no ongoing threat to the public. The scene has been secured, and the investigation is ongoing. We request that community members remain clear of the area while the investigation is underway. The investigation is being handled by the Montana Department of Justice.

No further information is available at this time. Additional updates will be provided as appropriate.
