New uPortal 5 release coming soon!

Hi folks,

We are happy to share that a new uPortal 5 version is coming out that addresses some dependency issues. This next release contains several small changes, but should be considered for adoption.

That said, we expect another release by end of April that will contain major upgrades to some frontend frameworks and the removal of some old cruft. This was planned for uPortal 6, but there are enough critical fixes that we prioritized it for a v5 release. It was originally expected to take thousands of hours. We were able to leverage AI to effect the changes. We are working through small issues now that most of the hard work has been completed.
