Missing APIs

Hi folks,

I would like to talk how you planned to move from portlets to APIs + new UIs.

As example do you have plans for exposing an API to replace portletPreferences ? or any overview about this feature ? I have some portlets using this, but not having a database for saving it, so using an API from the portal would help.

On an other side, we think using uPortal APIs for our mobile app. How to consider adding configuration properties for manaing way on openning services. I mean some services won't be available for mobile, or we could need to know the way to open the service in mobile. As exemple we would need to know if we use a webview or calling an app, or...
